The law states that employers have a legal responsibility to provide adequate training for those who perform manual handling tasks in their day to day role. However, with incorrect manual handling causing over a third of workplace injuries, adequate training is not only a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all staff.

The QA Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the principles of manual handling when moving objects and people.
The course has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is ideal for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes. It also allows Learners to practise a range of techniques that they can apply to their workplace.
Over a 2-day period, Learners will develop the knowledge and skills relevant to manual handling of objects and the safe moving and handling of people. Topics covered include: common handling injuries, the potential impact to a person if moved incorrectly, personal handling plans, preserving dignity, health and safety when moving a person, using equipment and more. Enrolment on the course can be done via our website by completing the training request document, or by calling our staff to discuss your needs.
However, when your students attend the venue of your choice they MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTIFICATION for FULL enrolment, those who fail to provide this documentation will not be allowed to start, and will be unable to enrol as per (QUALSAFE GUIDELINES).
During the course students will Fulfil the competencies set out within the QualSafe standards of practical and knowledge-based competencies.
In order to successfully obtain this qualification students will complete the QualSafe framework which provides students with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to obtain their QA Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF).
This includes 6 x Practical assessments, 2 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
Payment for courses MUST be made in advance, we require a full list of student details (this shall be explained further during the booking process); however, NAMES CANNOT BE CHANGED, this is due to our registration processes agreed with (QUALSAFE).

Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) certificate personalised with their Centre’s details.

Please note, the additional discount is for a group of 10 students, should the total number of students be less than 10, then the individual fee will apply. Unfortunately, once registered, names are non-transferable, therefore no refunds shall be authorised. APMS must receive full payment for the course at least 3 working days before the training date.
APMS will supply all necessary equipment to ensure that students are able to fulfil their training needs without compromise.
